We have been requesting for a Rural Road Development/Formation (from MUD Road to Thar Road) in our village to concern (BDO, Collector & Rural Development Director) authorities. This MUD (2.1 Km Length) road is used by the public more than hundred years as a pathway to connect main road and hamlets. But there is no action in spite of several attempts and almost more than 25 years followup. Every time we are getting standard answer as “This will be taken up in next financial year once the fund is allotted”.
On ground level information, We understand that entire length of the road is not Poramboke (Government land) some portion of the road is in patta land (marked in Patta entry at the same time it is classified as "Nilaviyal Pathai (Cart Track) in A-Register of revenue records). Also width of the existing MUD Road in not uniform in entire length (minimum 13 feet and maximum 21 feet). We feel that, due to these reasons authorities are not ready or reluctant to take up the road development/formation work.
Can we request through RTI, on what reason the authorities are not taking up the road work and what is the existing road specification (Exact length,Map of the Road with survey numbers marked and width details). Also what is the remedy or resolution for developing the road.
